If you are interested in implementing Montessori and offering some Montessori toys to your newborn to three month old, the information below will be super helpful to you!
Implementing Montessori from birth is the ultimate way to optimize development through a Montessori Lens. And this is because beginning Montessori from start lays the ideas and principles behind Montessori from day one as they are learning about who they are to their world and who their world is to them.
Versus beginning later on after they have made those mental connections. (Children’s brains are incredible malleable but they also thrive off of expectation and consistency.) That said, starting Montessori later on is 100% doable and can totally be done as the child grows. I’ve done it! It’s just much simpler to do from the start. ️
So in honor of our tiniest Montessori Babies, I have listed some of my favorite Montessori Baby Toys and Materials (with links) below! Disclaimer: I make a small commission off of the Amazon affiliate partner links below. 🙂

And for those with Newborns, you’ll definitely want to check out Montessori Topponcinos! The Montessori Topponcino is a mat that lays beneath the newborn at all times to provide security and consistency to the child. After all, they were just in a safe and confined womb for 9 months. 🙂
I added a few links to some Etsy shops that make beautiful Toppincinos below:
The newborn to three month phase is such a beautiful transition from the womb to the world. And having our materials and environments prepared in advance, as well as ourselves, will help ease many of the stresses that come along with this transition.
Also in Montessori Babies Episode 8, we talk all about the realities of the first three months of Montessori Motherhood. Click here to take a listen to this raw and heartfelt conversation I had with an amazing Montessorian, Stacey Dee.
Remember to take deep breaths and enjoy the small moments. It’ll pass before you know it!
